I have just become a member of Nordic Wildlife Art, a special interest organisation for bird-nature and landscape-painters in Scandinavia. Mostly from Sweden but also from Norway and Finland.
I have now been selectedfor the Birds in Art tour 2009 to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, California (February 15- April 18), Frank H. McClung Museum, Universety of Tennessee, Knoxville (May 8 - august 16), Montshire Museum of Science, Norwich, Vermont (Sept 5- Oktober 12) and Miller Art Museum, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin (November 14 - December 31).
My oilpainting Seven Crows on the Ice has been selected for the 2008 Birds in Art exhibition. To take place in Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wisconsin, USA. Public opening in September 6 and closes in November 9.
This young crow looked at the apple for a long time before he approached. Finally he stood behind it, looking carefully around. After that he started eating, pausing to look around, eating, pausing....
What happened just before i froze this moment? The crow to the right looks sturdy and superior. And the crow to the left looks kind of hurt. Like he received a lesson from the other. About who is the strongest? The old struggle over food probably, who gets the first pic...
